Privacy Agreement
Our policy on how your personal data is collected, processed, and protected.
Last updated: January 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Hunter Web LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or use our web hosting, email hosting, reseller hosting, VDS, dedicated server, or SSL services. This policy applies to all our users regardless of location; where users in jurisdictions such as the European Union/United Kingdom (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), and Turkey (KVKK) are granted additional rights, those are set out separately below.
The party responsible for processing your personal data is Hunter Web LLC, a company organized in the State of Idaho, United States. Our company address and contact details are provided in the "Contact" section of this policy.
To provide our services, we collect the following categories of information:
We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain our services, process billing and payments, provide technical support, secure your account, comply with legal obligations, analyze and improve service quality, and communicate with you about the service. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
We rely on the following legal bases when processing your personal data: performance of our service agreement with you (orders, billing, support), compliance with legal obligations (accounting and tax law), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, service security, service improvement), and, where applicable, your explicit consent (marketing communications, optional cookies).
We may share your personal data with trusted service providers who help us deliver our services: server/infrastructure providers, payment processors, our domain registrar partner (NameSilo, LLC), and email delivery/security infrastructure providers. Information shared with these providers is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service, and these parties may not use your information for their own marketing purposes. We may also share your information with competent authorities where required by law, a court order, or a valid request from a public authority.
Because Hunter Web LLC is organized in the United States and our infrastructure providers operate data centers in different countries, your personal data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your own. Where data is transferred from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognized data transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
We retain your personal data for as long as our service relationship continues and as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, plus any additional period required to meet our legal retention obligations (such as accounting and tax records). When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period unless legal obligations require us to retain it longer.
We apply reasonable technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption (SSL/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our website uses cookies to improve your experience and analyze site usage. You can find detailed information about our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing; where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, you can contact us and, if your request is not addressed, lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) you have the right to know the categories and sources of personal information we collect about you, to request its deletion, to request its correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary value.
If you are receiving services from Turkey, you can find detailed information about your rights under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and the procedure for applying to the data controller on our KVKK Policy page.
Our services are intended for businesses and individuals at least 18 years of age; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will delete that information within a reasonable period.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by publishing the updated policy with a new effective date on our website or by notifying you at the email address on file for your account.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or how we process your personal data, you can contact our support team.
